Group play dates are for levels 1 & 2 (CEFR Pre-A1/A1). Two kids learn happily learn foundation vocabulary, grammar, conversation, sentence frames, phonics, greetings, and pronunciation through fun songs, chants, games, stories with an attractive curriculum. Group chats are for levels 3 and higher (CEFR A1+). Older kids partner to build on foundations and continue to focus on more detailed conversation, challenging reading focus, refining pronunciation, learning past, future, and other tenses with grammar progression from intermediate to advanced. Of course, we make learning fun in each chat!

Hello! My name is Margarida Veloz (Teacher Margarida V at VIPKID). I am so excited to meet you and/or your child! For 20 years, I have loved teaching kids and adults. What a joy it is to speak another language and communicate–to connect with others! I am a native English speaker born and raised in the US. I speak Spanish fluently, some French, and I have been learning Portuguese since moving to Portugal 5 years ago. Learning a language is easier if you enjoy it. So, I always create a warm, happy, no-judgment, comfortable classroom where conversation is encouraged and nurtured. Virtual, 2D and 3D props are used to encourage comprehension and retention. I am empathetic as a teacher since I am also a language learner! I have taught at VIPKID for over 4 years, and parents of my students have given me 1654 5-apple reviews! I am very patient and help with pronunciation, conversation, grammar, and reading. I just love teaching, and I love my students! What a joy it is to connect with a student and be a part of their English journey!
