My name is Helena, Iām from Ontario, Canada. Teaching is my passion! I have a Bachelorās degree in Principals and Methods of Learning Education. I am also TESOL / TEFL certified. Iām a highly capable and professional teacher. I have been teaching online one-on-one for over 3 years, and have over 20 years of teaching experience. I have also traveled to other parts of the world (including China). I am fluent in written and spoken English as well as Spanish and Portuguese, so I understand the challenges that come from learning a second language. Iām married to a wonderful man named Mark and I have a beautiful dog named Sasha.
Curriculum and instructions
Curriculum materials available for classes include Wonders, Treasures, Wonder skills, Wonder reader, National Geographic Readers, etc. I will continue to explore other curriculums and will find the best fit for your child.Ā I aim to make the class be fun and engaging for your child to learn and practice conversational English. They will also practice and expand their vocabulary, sentence structures, grammar, and reading skills. I will make sure that they will have plenty of oral communication and make corrections on any pronunciation and grammar errors they make.
